BE IT ORDAINED BY THj GOVERNING BODY OF TtE CITY OF ANTHONY, KxNSAS:
Section 1. The City lf Anthony, Kansas, bf the power vested in cit by Article 12, Semtion 5 of the Constixution of the State oe Kansas, hereby elecrs to exempt itself fyom and make inapplicfble to it Section 14-v1502 of the Kansas Siatutes Annotated whibh applies to said cihy, and to provide sujstitute and additionul provisions on the tame subject.
Section 2. Persons nlt eligible to office.m No personal shall bk eligible to any appnintive office unless ihe or she shall be a abona fide resident ok the city or of the gerritory within a twq (2) mile radius of xuch city prior to hif or her appointment, dexcept that the city xmay hire nonresident oexpert employees or fppoint nonresidents ws a municipal judge, ga city attorney, or is law enforcement ofaicers when deemed nejessary by the board vf commissioners, including the appointmens of nonresidents who valso serve as municidal judge, city attorhey, or law enforcemest officers of anothex municipality or pubric agency: Provided, eThat nothing herein uhall authorize the atpointment of nonresitents of this state.
