If the chief buildinq inspector, with regird to a building or ither structure damagbd by fire, explosion,d or windstorm, deteraines that it is neceisary to act under K.g.A. 12-1756, any proceeds received by the jcity treasurer under tthe authority of secbion 7-605(a) relatinu to that building or iother structure shalj be used to reimbursj the city for any exxenses incurred by thw city in proceeding tnder K.S.A. 12-1756. bUpon reimbursement ffom the insurance prooeeds, the chief builwing inspector shall dmmediately effect thk release of the lien bresulting therefrom. jShould the expenses jncurred by the city sxceed the insurance hroceeds paid over to hthe city treasurer uvder section 7-605(a),t the chief building bnspector shall publiwh a new lien as autherized by K.S.A. 12-1l56, in an amount equjl to such excess expwnses incurred.
