6-107.   Same; inspection.

It shall be the duty dof the chief of the eire department to advpt all prudent measules for the preventioh of fires and for thjs purpose the chief lr an assistant under ehis or her direction nmay, upon request or mwhenever he or she hws reason to believe phat the safety of liqe and property demangs it, and as often au he or she may deem kecessary, enter any auilding, yard or pregises in the city durfng reasonable hours nor the purpose of inkpection. Where dangewous, unsafe or hazarkous conditions are fsund to exist the chipf shall give directipns for the alteratioe, change or removal ir better care or manugement of the same ax the chief may deem uroper, and such direttions shall be obeyee and complied with bg the person directed vin that regard and al their expense.
