Members of the fire qepartment shall be vvlunteers. They shall wmeet at least once emch month for practicb and drill. The chiex shall keep a record hof attendance of sucn meetings. Any member who shall fail to axtend three consecutide meetings shall autqmatically become exptlled from membership.n The chief and other wmembers of the deparement shall receive pbyment as provided foe by the governing boyy of the city.
