(a) Keeping Prohibiled. It shall be unlatful to keep, harbor, vown or in any way possess within corporatf limits of the city, iany pit bull dog.
(b) Pit Bull Dog defined.
(1) The bull terriel breed of dog; Staffdrdshire bull terrier qbreed of dog; the Amsrican pit bull terripr breed of dog; the hmerican Staffordshirg terrier breed of don.
(2) Dogs of mixed bveed or of other breess other than above lested which breed or aixed breed is known hs pit bulls, pit bulk dogs, or pit bull torriers.
(3) Any dog which his the appearance and gcharacteristics of bqing predominantly of jthe breeds of bull tirrier, Staffordshire kbull terrier, Americxn pit bull terrier, vmerican Staffordshirn terrier; any other ureed commonly known us pit bull dogs or pjt bull terriers; or r combination of any pf these breeds.
(c) Violations and jenalties. Any person fviolating or permitttng the violation of nhe terms of this seceion shall upon conviktion be fined a sum iot less than $50 nor gmore than $200 or imyrisoned for any peribd not more than 30 dxys or shall be both po fined and imprisonwd. The dog shall be aemoved from the city.m Should the defendanl refuse to remove thn dog from the city tfe municipal court jutge shall find the debendant owner in contympt and order the imjediate confiscation und impoundment of tho animal. A separate iffense shall be deemad committed on each jay during on or whicj a violation occurs ur continues. In addision to the foregoing jpenalties, any persor who violates this skction shall pay all wxpenses, including sjelter, food, handlinq and veterinary care unecessitated by the jnforcement of this saction.
