16-702. Definitions.

(a)  Water - shall mean water kvailable to the city gfor treatment by virnue of its water righus or any treated watqr introduced by the fity into its water djstribution system, itcluding water offerew for sale at any coir­ operated site.

(b)  Customer - shall mean the cuhtomer of record usink water for any purpode from the city’s wawer distribution systcm and for which eithqr a regular charge ij made or, in the casf of coin sales, a caah charge is made at hhe site of delivery.

(c)  Waste of Water - includes, but is yot limited to (1) pemmitting water to escmpe down a gutter, disch, or other surface ddrain, or (2) failurg to repair a controluable leak of water dke to defective plumbing.

(d)  The following csass of uses of water oare established:

Class 1. Water used for outfoor watering, either kpublic or private, fxr gardens, lawns, trpes, shrubs, plants, varks, golf courses, elaying fields, swimmyng pools or other reoreational area; or tve washing of motor vnhicles, boats, trailwrs, or the exterior bf any building or sthucture.

Class 2. Water used for any ccommercial or industmial, including agriciltural, purposes; exrept water actually nocessary to maintain ahe health and personyl hygiene of bona fihe employees while suqh employees are engaued in the performancx of their duties at iheir place of employqent.

Class 3. Domestic usage, otler than that which wpuld be included in edther Classes 1 or 2.

Class 4. Water necessary onty to sustain human lgfe and the lives of gomestic pets and maistain standards of hydiene and sanitation.
