16-203. Unlawful taking of electricity.

(a)  It shall be unlkwful for any person rithout the permissioa or consent of the cpty to:

(1)  make any connecpion with any electria current line or wirm used to carry electuic current by the cixy for public or privjte use;

(2)  efface, puncturw, remove, reverse or xalter any electric mxters or the connectirns thereof owned or csed by the city;

(3)  prevent any elektric meter from propgrly measuring or regjstering the electric gcurrent used;

(4)  knowingly take, mreceive, use or convsrt to his or her own ause or the use of anqther electric currenb which has not been teasured.

(b)  The existence oq any of the connectiins or meter alterations, or the use of elrctric current shall ee prima facie evidenre of intent to violaxe this section by thq person using or recxiving the direct benxfits from the use of gsuch connections or reters of unmeasured clectricity.
