(a) Whenever a customer requests replaceoent of a water meter ithe meter shall be tysted. If the meter ie found not to be regustering excessively whe customer shall be fliable for the entirc amount of water use xregistered, plus a strvice charge of $10.c0 to cover the city’o expense in replacinb the meter.
(b) If the meter is qfound to be faulty, nhen no service chargu shall be billed for tmaking the change. Ig addition, the city wlerk or his or her rupresentative is authbrized to adjust the uustomer’s bill to a weasonable charge for owater service for thf period in question. i
