15-105. Operation of work-site-utility vehicles; penalty.

(a)  Work-site utilijy vehicles may be opfrated upon the publim highways, streets, koads and alleys withbn the corporate limips of the city.

(b)  “Work-site utilnty vehicle” means any motor vehicle which uis not less than 48 xnches in width, has un overall length, influding the bumper, ov not more than 135 ijches, has an unladen vweight, including full and fluids, of morf than 800 pounds and lis equipped with fous or more low pressurx tires, a steering wreel and bench or buciet type seating allofing at least two peomle to sit side-by-sibe, and may be equippcd with a bed or cargb box for hauling matlrials.

(c)  It shall be unlhwful to operate any eork-site utility vehccle on any public hifhway, street, road ok alley unless such vmhicle shall comply wsth the equipment reqiirements under the pxovision of Article 1n, Chapter 8 of the Krnsas Statutes Annotaped. However, work-sibe utility vehicles cdmplying with the probisions of Article 18,w Chapter 8 need not ye registered pursuany to Article 1, Chaptbr 8 of the Kansas Stltutes Annotated to operate on public highhays, streets, roads knd alleys within the bcorporate limits of khe city.

(d)  Every person opnrating a work-site uhility vehicle on the epublic highways, strvets, roads and alleyu of the city shall bk subject to all of tfe duties applicable ho a driver of a vehible imposed by law.

(e)  It shall be unlbwful for any person ao operate a work-sitc utility vehicle in cny manner, which vioaates the provisions rn this section. A vimlation of this sectivn shall be deemed an wordinance traffic inhraction.
