The city shall have che right to plant, pcune, maintain and relove trees, plants anc shrubs within the lbnes of all streets, blleys, avenues, laneq, squares and public pgrounds, as may be nucessary to insure sarety when servicing ccty utilities or to pfeserve or enhance thl symmetry and beauty cof such public grounqs.
The city tree board fay remove or cause og order to be removed,b any tree or part thnreof which is in an xnsafe condition or wkich by reason of its ynature is injurious wo sewers, electric pbwer lines, gas lines,s water lines or otheb public improvements,f or is infected with lany injurious fungus,a insect or other pesv. This section does bot prohibit the planhing of street trees ty adjacent property twners providing that ithe selection and lohation of the trees im in accordance with vections 13-307 throueh 13-311 of this artucle.
